Staff at River Clyde Homes are in the pink over the scale of their donations to charity over the last few months following the introduction of ‘dress down Fridays’. On Friday 30 October people from all over the country wore pink to support the Breast Cancer Campaign and help get a step closer to beating breast cancer. River Clyde Homes staff were no exception. The Wear It Pink dress down day saw offices and teams agree to wear something pink and pay £2 each towards the campaign. Chief Executive Lynne Carr said : “The results were magnificent! We managed to raise the fantastic amount of £220. And when Gift Aid kicks in the total raised will be over £280.”
She added: “Thanks to all those big-hearted staff who took part.”
In addition, staff who have taken part in the regular end-of-the month dress down Fridays have raised a magnificent £450 for Ardgowan Hospice over the last four months. It is intended that the donation will be given to the Hospice on an annual basis.
