Gearing up for our clothes drive

River Clyde Homes are gearing up to have another clothing drive after the success of last year.

Clothing Drive May 2019

10 May 2019

This time the clothes will be adult clothing and will be held on the 21st May at Craigend Resource Centre in Greenock. The sale is open to all and starts at 10.30am until 3pm. All items are priced between 50p and £2 and the funds raised will be split between All Saints and Kings Oak primary schools in Greenock.

Angela Docherty, Community Support Officer at River Clyde Homes, who is one of the organisers of the event said: “We are delighted to be having another clothing drive for the community and so far we have received lots of fantastic donations, and many of the items are brand new. We look forward to seeing as many local people as possible on the day.”

Elaine Cannon, Service Improvement Manager at River Clyde Homes said: “This initiative is a great example of our commitment not just to provide housing but to work in our communities building positive relationships with our customers and at the same time linking in with local schools.  The clothing drive demonstrates the team’s continuing efforts to live our values and in this case “Every Opportunity Taken”.

Kayleigh Laird, Housing Officer at River Clyde Homes said, “I would like to thank everyone for their generous donations and continued support with our community events.”

Any items left at the end of the sale will be donated to charity, and if a success, a further sale may be held later in the year.
