IIYP 2026 Award

Achieving — and now retaining — the Platinum standard places River Clyde Homes among a select group of organisations across Scotland recognised for sustained, long‑term investment in young talent. The accreditation highlights the organisation’s commitment to creating meaningful career pathways, fostering skills development, and providing opportunities for young people to thrive.

Aileen Metcalfe, Group Services Director at River Clyde Homes, said:

"Retaining the Investors in Young People Platinum accreditation is a magnificent achievement, and one which is a direct reflection of the hard work and dedication shown by teams across the entire organisation. Reaching this standard once is a challenge, but maintaining it requires a consistent, collective effort to put our young talent at the heart of what we do.

We are immensely proud of this award, and retaining it once again demonstrates how River Clyde Homes is a place where young people are able to thrive and where management actively learn and gain insight from our younger colleagues."

Nicola Campbell, Senior HR Manager at River Clyde Homes, said:

“We are incredibly proud to retain our Investors in Young People Platinum accreditation. Young people bring tremendous value to River Clyde Homes through their fresh ideas, energy and ambition. This award reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting their development and creating an environment where they can grow into confident, skilled professionals. I want to thank every colleague who plays a part in mentoring, supporting and empowering our young workforce.”

Nicola Dillon, Investors in People Practitioner, said:

“On behalf of Investors in People CIC, I am delighted to congratulate River Clyde Homes on retaining Investors in Young People Platinum accreditation. Platinum is held by only around 3% of IIYP-accredited organisations and represents the very highest standard of sustained, high-performing youth employment practice.

River Clyde Homes is a truly outstanding example of what happens when young people are placed at the heart of organisational purpose. Their commitment to attracting, developing and retaining young talent is embedded, measurable and always improving. Through strong leadership, fairness, ambition and a deep respect for equity and opportunity, young colleagues are empowered to thrive, shape their own futures and drive meaningful change for customers, communities and the wider housing sector.

River Clyde Homes is not only an exemplary employer, but a clear benchmark for the sector. The confidence, capability and role-model behaviours developed by their young people make them a ‘dream hire’ and a powerful testament to what Platinum practice truly looks like in action for the Housing Sector.”
