Our colleagues at Home Fix Scotland attended a workshop session recently delivered by Lighthouse Construction Charity.

At the session they were able to hear first hand experience from previous users of the service and information on what support they can receive from the charity. 

HFS is a Company Supporter of the Lighthouse Construction Charity whose mission is to: 

• Reduce construction industry suicides  
• Improve workforce welfare and wellbeing for this generation and the next and  
• Keep our key support services free for everyone in our industry to access 

The Lighthouse Construction Charity is the only charity that provides emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing support to the construction community and their families.  A crucial element of this is to provide a wide range of free and widely available pro-active resources to support the industry. Being a Company Supporter opens a wealth of services to HFS staff. Core services for HFS staff include:

• Education & Training  
• Wellbeing Academy  

Text HARDHAT Support Service 

One of the services included is the Text ‘HARDHAT’ service. This service meets the needs of those who feel uncomfortable speaking with someone on the telephone or find it difficult to find a place and time to talk. The service provides immediate one-to-one support on a vast range of wellbeing issues and can signpost to further specialist support if required.
