RCH Group obtain Cyber Essentials Accreditation
Customers can feel reassured after RCH Group was awarded Cyber Essentials Accreditation, a scheme supported by the Government NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre).
22 July 2022
This follows an online assessment submission that included detailed information on the housing association and its repair company’s infrastructure, processes and procedures.
The accreditation will last for one year and, thereafter, will be an ongoing annual submission which will be co-ordinated by the Business Performance and Systems (BPS) team.
All of the BPS team were involved in updating settings and processes to meet with the rigorous requirements - and ultimately the end users too (by the addition of PINs and secure passwords to devices). This gives provides greater peace of mind to both customers and staff.
Lorna Williams, Business Performance and Systems Manager, said: “We are delighted to have reached this milestone. It’s taken great effort from the team and has been a really worthwhile exercise. Cyber Security is increasingly important. This accreditation shows our commitment, and we will continue to give it the focus it deserves."
Lorna added: “This is a huge achievement and one we are proud of. But that doesn’t mean the cyber risk is eliminated - customers should remain vigilant and reach out to us if they receive anything suspect in their inboxes that appears to be from River Clyde Homes or Home Fix Scotland.”
