The Apprentice 2023

Home Fix Scotland have been running their Apprentice Recruitment Assessment Centres this week  in the Knowledge Hub.

This year we are recruiting for 1 Electrician, 1 Horticultural and 2 Joiner Apprentices.

Tuesday 8th August saw us hosting potential Electrician candidates, Horticultural Candidates came along on Wednesday and a really busy Thursday saw the room packed with potential Joiners. 

The HR team, Derek Ferguson, Mark Bradley and a host of Supervisors were on hand to facilitate the day which included a competency based interview, individual literature and numeracy tests and a group observational exercise.  The candidates were marked at each stage and the candidates who score the highest will be offered the positions.

HFS Managing Director has been contacted today by family of one of the candidates who had this to say:

“The best interview processes the young person had and they felt it was going to be fairer as it was not just if someone liked them at interview.”

It was great to see so many young people come along and complete the Assessment - we hope the successful candidates can look forward to a long and rewarding career with RCH Group!
