Wellbeing At Home
Our wellbeing at home service
What is Wellbeing At Home?
In 2019 we carried out a review of our housing options for older customers and in 2021 we introduced a new model of housing based on a Retirement Housing Model called Wellbeing at Home at two former Sheltered Housing complexes – Glebe Court and Monkton Place . Feedback from our customers has been really positive.
From 7th of April 2025, we have introduced this model at a further two complexes, Bagatelle Court and Stewart House.
There are a few differences between Sheltered Housing and Wellbeing at Home, but both housing models are designed to support older residents to live independently.
Below is a summary of the service you would receive as a Wellbeing at Home resident:
- WAH Coordinator working between two complexes Monday to Friday over 37 hours
- A Housing Management and “OK Each Day” service provided by Alertacall where the WAH Coordinator will come and check you are OK if you haven’t responded to their call
- Cleaning service in communal areas
- Regular activities in the lounge areas
- Health and safety checks in the complex and within your flat
- WAH Coordinator will refer to services such as Inverclyde HSCP to ensure residents get the support they need, for example care services or telecare
Alertacall
The Alertacall device is really easy to use. You will be shown how to use this and your Wellbeing at Home Coordinator will support you to use this if needed.
- You can use this to report repairs and request a call back from our Customer Experience team or Housing Officer
- Your Wellbeing at Home Coordinator can communicate to you using this device’s messaging service to notify you of upcoming events, in addition to the usual posters and letters they distribute.
- You have the choice to press the OKEachDay button in your own time or otherwise receive a call from the team. This guarantees there is always a person for you to speak to and prevents people from becoming isolated or ever left alone.
