Shining a Light on Housing Excellence:
CIH Scotland Housing Awards 2024

The CIH Scotland Housing Awards 2024 celebrated the outstanding achievements of individuals, organisations, and projects that have significantly impacted the housing sector in Scotland. The annual event, hosted by the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Scotland, took place on Friday, 8 November 2024, at the Double Tree by Hilton Glasgow Central.

This year's awards recognised the dedication, innovation, and passion of those who have worked tirelessly to improve the lives of tenants, customers, and communities across Scotland. The event provided a platform to honour the creativity and commitment that has driven positive change within the housing industry.

We are delighted to have been selected as winners in two of the categories this year:

The Prospecthill Court Retrofit Project

We were also shortlisted for Housing Team of the year for the work being done by our Financial Wellbeing Team.

Stevie McLachlan, Director of Customer Experience at RCH said, "We're delighted to be recognised for our partnership working with Inverclyde HSCP to combat homelessness in our community. Both of the awards are testament to the commitment, hard work and dedication of everyone involved in providing support and solutions to those most in need. To be part of such a passionate and dedicated team is a real privilege, and together we can look forward to continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of local people.

We're proud to be part of this collaborative effort and committed to continuing our work to improve the lives of Inverclyde residents.”

The awards ceremony was a fantastic occasion that brought together housing professionals, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to acknowledge the exceptional work being done, and it’s an exceptional effort to be make the shortlists, let alone win a category. By recognising and celebrating these achievements, the CIH Scotland Housing Awards inspire and motivate future endeavours in our sector.

The CIH Scotland Housing Awards underscore the vital role of the housing sector in providing safe, affordable, and sustainable homes. By honouring the outstanding contributions of individuals and organisations, CIH Scotland aims to promote excellence and foster a culture of innovation within the industry, and we are honoured to have our hard work and contribution recognised with these awards.

Councillor Robert Moran, chair of the Inverclyde Integrated Joint Board which oversees the work of Inverclyde HSCP, said: “This award shows what can be achieved by strong partnership working. I know our homelessness service has worked hard over the last few years to tackle the issue of homelessness in Inverclyde and this award is testament to that.

“It was a tough category with 24 projects shortlisted so it’s great news that the award has come to Inverclyde HSCP and River Clyde Homes.

“Congratulations to everyone involved with the partnership for winning this award. I am sure this partnership will continue to deliver positive results in Inverclyde.”
